Hot day with a cool happening..

The temperature in my jeep yesterday..in the shade...

ONE little cloud in the sky

Remember my favorite girl Heidi?

She had TWINS yesterday!

We have a black angus bull and she is a gelbvieh.  She had a beautiful grey bull
and a sweet little reddish bull..

I will post more pictures later, I didn't want to bother her too much.  It was a hot day and she was a little stressed out.   She is such a good mother, she is the mama that took care of my little orphan calf Lobo.

You can catch up on Lobo here:

Don't forget to pop over to Old Grey Mare for a great giveaway!

I think it is BEYOND cool that you live this life.

The heat is not dangerous to the calves? Can you imagine delivering in 100 plus heat?

I keep praying for rain for you guys...I am hibernating inside, trying to not run the air too much..so I am often in my underwear with a glass of iced tea...thank heaven the pooches don't mind.....er maybe they do?

Oh and I forgot the heat... GOOD NIGHT, does your car ever cool off before you get home? With temps in it that high on my car...no way. The poor passengers in the back would be cooked to a crisp.

It's not that hot here and I know the heat has been hard on the cattle at our farm, cant imagine birthing in this heat--uhg.

Good Lord! I heard y'all had been getting triple digits in Texas but how are you handling it. And how is that poor mother cow doing? She needs a cold shower along with her two little ones.
