Early morning

The weather is finally starting to cool down in central Texas.  The mornings are cool  and refreshing.   This morning, the fog rolled in over the river.

A bee was busy trying to get the last goodness from the wildflowers..

The calves were still a little sleepy

but were enjoying the warm sun.

As the morning sun rose higher and the ground dried off,
My cat Trixie decided it was a great idea to roll around in the dirt..

If that is what makes her happy, so be it!

I am will be at the Hico Homestead Antique show this Friday and Saturday.
If you are in the area, I would love for you to stop by and see me!  I will be in my good friend Georgia's booth- The Screen Door Antiques.

HELP! I have fallen and I can't get out!

I have fallen in this massive well and can not get out!   I think I need an intervention of some sort.   I give myself about 15 minutes to scout around, then the next thing I know a hour has gone by.  (or maybe 2) My dog is looking at me "Like REALLY,  you aren't going to let me outside? Where is my dinner?"  My garden needs watering, laundry needs to be done,  and it is getting darker outside and I am sitting at the kitchen table with no lights on...just one more page and I will get up!   I promise!!  My family is worried...

Not really,  I can lick this problem by myself...really....maybe not....but it really is ok...for now....

If you would like to become one of unwashed, blairy eyed, carpal tunnel wrist, big time waster....come on over!

It rained!!! and rained and rained!

Here is a picture of the Paluxy River about a month or so ago...dry as a bone

After 5 + inches of rain....

The Paluxy River is out of its banks!   Wonderful, wild river!
Glorious, absolutely glorious!

I had a fun weekend.   It started with a trip to the farmers market for pumpkins

Then I found a great old feed store.   It had jars and jars of every seed imaginable.  Plus
a contrary cat who likes to sit in seed starting trays.
I found dwarf kale to go with my spinach, lettuce and collards for my fall garden...

I finished up on some necklaces for my show in a couple of weeks..

door know plate, key and rhinestones

old outdoor faucet knob, rhinestones and crystal

pearls, joy charm and pretty framed picture

framed transfer and one of my old earrings (I hate I lost the other one, it was made by a very talented artist)

silver spoon,  tarnished propeller and mother of pearl link

I hope everyone has a great day!

Here's another peek at some of the jewelry I have been making for the Homestead Antique Show October 28 and 29th.
