Plowday

My friend, Patti and her husband Michael, host a Plowday each April.

I wasn't really sure what it was, but when I got to their ranch, I was pleasantly surprised.

Each year, a group of great people get together with their mules, Percheron and draft horses and plow the fields with antique plows.

It was like stepping back in time.

It was calming and rhythmic as the teams plowed the fields.

The people I met are genuine and true.   Hard working, love their animals, their families and most of all, the land that they turn.

I can't wait until next year's plowday...
