Samantha

My girl Samantha is getting old. She is my best friend and has been with me through thick and thin. She listens to me when others shut me out, makes me smile when I want to cry and looks into my soul with her big brown eyes. She still wants to run, jump and play, but her legs are feeble. She wants to be happy-go-lucky, but gets aggravated and grouchy. Now Samantha sits and watches. I look at her and she wags her tail just to reassure me that she is ok. But I know she isn't. She doesn't want me to know how she really feels, she doesn't want me to feel sorry for her so she will get up and chase the ball and try to jump in the jeep. She gets embarrassed when I have to help her in the jeep or find the ball, so I let her know how proud I am of her and what a good girl she is. I love this dog so very much and will make her as comfortable as I possibly can to help her live her twilight years with pride.

Spring!

I put up a couple of bluebird houses and within a few hours, a male bluebird was scoping oneout. He found a perfect one for his girl, and within a few days, she was nesting and had four eggs. I can't wait for them to hatch! The wildflowers are abundant this year and a new batch of kittens are finding themselves loving the warm sun. This is my favorite time of the year!

I have fallen in love with making cards. I never know what they are going to look like until they are finished.

My favorite part is finding buttons, tatting and great paper to create my little art pieces. I think of this as my therapy! I get lost in time and I feel so relaxed when I am creating. I recently found several bundles of vintage matches. I have so many great ideas for them! Stayed tuned!

My walk

I had a nice walk this evening along the banks of the Paluxy River. It was so quiet and relaxing. I let my dogs go for a swim and a big run across the pasture. It was a stressful day and it was nice just to be quiet and enjoy nature at the end of the day.

Every time I go to the river, I find something new , like these funny little weeds.....

Spring

Peace, beauty, contentment, harmony....are all ours for the taking. We must open our eyes, our hearts, our minds, our souls.

Today was a rainy Saturday, perfect for cleaning house, opening the front door to let the newly bloomed roses send their sweet smell through my home and working on my stained glass project.
